The advent of mobility electric is giving the possibility; to various companies to create concepts that try to anticipate the contents available to future battery-powered cars. Among the latest concept cars more & ugrave; interesting there definitely Aura , developed by a consortium of British companies to showcase a number of new technologies that could find a place on these types of vehicles in the future.

In particular, Astheimer carried out the design, Potenza Technology supplied the batteries and electric motors, BAMD Composites developed the body panels and interiors and Conjure si & egrave; occupied with the Human Machine Interface (HMI), which uses the technology provided by Spark EV to effectively manage the battery charge. The development of this particular vehicle is; started on October 1, 2020. So, there is; it took a little less than a year to make the concept car.

SUSTAINABILITY? AND EFFICIENCY

To realize the concept, the designers aimed everything about sustainability; and efficiency . The car, in fact, has a series of solutions to maximize the range and reduce its environmental impact. The body panels, for example, are made of materials composed of natural fibers. Furthermore, & egrave; Computational fluid dynamics was used to optimize aerodynamic efficiency.

The rear wheels are covered to reduce drag, while the tires used offer low rolling resistance. The electric motor is; rear mounted. Unfortunately, no technical details were shared. The unit, however, is powered by two 44 kWh battery packs . The first is placed under the hood, while the second on the lower part of the platform. A choice made to improve the dynamic performance of the car and to make access to accumulators easier; simple in case of need to carry out maintenance. The autonomy reaches about 400 miles equal to 644 km.

The infotainment system developed by Conjure and based on Android is very interesting. We find a 5-inch circular instrument screen integrated directly into the steering wheel and a 10-inch vertical display for the actual infotainment. Platform that uses Spark EV's energy optimization technology to offer extremely accurate and realistic remaining range estimates with 99.5% accuracy. To achieve this, the system analyzes a series of data such as driving style, weather and more.

Technology that could also arrive on production cars in the future. Spark EV announces, in fact, that it is in talks with two Chinese manufacturers for the installation of the system on two premium electric cars that will go into production by the end of the year.
