Apps adapted for iOS 15

In iOS 15 you'll find new features for your iPhone, both in Apple's own default apps and across the entire operating system. Developers can also take advantage of some new features to make their apps better. Developers have been adapting their apps since the summer and the first results can be found in the App Store from this week. We take you through some of the best-known apps that have already been adapted for iOS 15.

Some of the features developers can take advantage of are the new notifications, improved widgets, Safari extensions, Live Text and much more. On iPad, iPadOS 15 offers even more options, including Quick Notes, new keyboard shortcuts, and more. Some apps take advantage of one specific iOS 15 feature, while others support a wide variety of new features.

These are the most famous apps that have already been adapted for iOS 15:

  • 1Password – Password Manager (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 12.2+) – Support for the new Safari extension. This makes it easier for you to enter data, enter verification codes, receive warnings for vulnerable logins and more. The security key app also works with Lightning, usb-c and nfc.
  • Parcel (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 13.4+) – Popular parcel app now with support for Live Text, time-sensitive notifications, Quick Notes, a large widget for iPad and improved keyboard links.
  • Apollo for Reddit (Free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 12.0+) – Access Reddit links in Apollo via the Safari extension and new large widgets for iPad. There is also support for Quick Notes.
  • App in the Air (free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 13.0+) – Improved notifications (especially on Apple Watch) and easier to scan your ID.< /li>
  • Cardhop (Free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 14.1+) – Support for privacy sensitive widgets, extra large birthday widget on iPad, and support for Quick Notes.
  • Slack (free, iPhone/iPad, iOS 13.3+) – Slack now shows contact images in notifications from DM's.
  • CARROT Weather (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 13.0+) – This popular weather app now has an oversized widget for iPad, plus several other new features such as support for time-sensitive notifications, themes and a new details screen.
  • Yoink ($5.99, iPhone/iPad, iOS 14.0+) – This clipboard enhancement app can now display websites in picture-in-picture, Drag & Use Drop and work with Quick Notes.
  • djay (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 12.2+) – This DJ app now works with Shazam thanks to ShazamKit in iOS 15, allowing you to recognize music can easily import into the app.
  • Bring! Grocery List (Free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 12.0+) – This shopping app now has a Safari extension, which allows you to save recipes via the browser. There is also a larger widget for iPad.
  • GoodLinks (€4.99, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 14.0+) – Save links from Safari with this app. Now with browser extension and support for Quick Notes.
  • Sorted³ – Calendar Notes Tasks (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 11.4+) – Sorted is an advanced app for todo's, your calendar and notes. Now with a larger widget on iPad, Live Text, Quick Notes and improved notifications.
  • Things 3 ($9.99, iPhone/Watch, iOS 12.1+) – One of the best-known todo apps. Now with Live Text support, larger widgets on iPad, time-sensitive notifications, and improved keyboard link support.
  • Multi-width launcher (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 13.0+) – This app to quickly launching your favorite apps now also has an oversized iPad widget.
  • YouTube Music (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 12.0+) – YouTube Music also has a large widget for your iPad, showing your recently played albums and tracks.
  • Google Photos (free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 12.4+) – Your photos in Google Photos will look even better in a large widget on the iPad.
  • Brush Toothbrush Timer (€0.99, Watch , iOS 15.0+) – For the Apple Watch fans: this Dutch tooth brushing timer works much better with the always-on display.
  • Documents-File,Web Browser,PDF (free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 12.2+) – Handy app for all your files now works with Quick Notes and handy widgets for iPad.
  • Calendars: Planner & Reminders (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch + IAP, iOS 11.0+) – From the same makers: large widgets on iPad and support for Quick Notes.
  • PDF Expert: Doc Editor , Reader (Free, iPhone/iPad + IAP, iOS 12.2+) – Quickly open PDFs via the widget on the iPad or annotate a PDF via Quick Notes.
  • Spark Mail – Email by Readdle (Free, iPhone/iPad/Watch, iOS 13.4+) – Mail app with support for Focus, new widgets and Quick Notes on iPad.
