When imports are not enough, Sweden starts its power reserve, where the oil plant in Karlshamn is a first step.

The plant was launched in February and produces a minimum level of 60 megawatts, but it can at most produce 600 megawatts.

And now the plant is booming. Last winter 2011 there was a similar production level, but today's power demand has never been seen before.

This week, two blocks have been running at the power plant and the power plant manager Henrik Svensson now says that he is worried that we have not seen it worst yet. According to him, there is a shortage of electricity and high prices are behind the development.

Svensson also states that there is a lack of planned power production in southern Sweden and he believes that it will be many years before the electricity grid is strengthened and new electricity production is in operation. p>
