Don't see the update yet? There's no point in reporting that you haven't seen the update yet. Apple will release the update at around 7:00 PM, but it often happens that it's a few minutes later. That's no reason to panic; Apple has not forgotten you, but the rollout to millions of devices is simply a gigantic operation. It is often better to wait.

An iOS update is important for several reasons. Of course it can be nice that you can now use all kinds of new functions and sometimes they really make a significant difference. Perhaps a more important reason to install major updates is your privacy. Apple pays attention to privacy in iOS 15, which we tell you about in our separate article. As explained in our iOS 15 selection guide, we recommend that you first check whether your favorite apps will work with iOS 15. If in doubt, wait a while before updating. Have you installed the update? Please let us know if you run into any problems.

We also often receive reports from people who do not see the update at exactly 19:00. That may be true, as Apple sometimes presses the button a few minutes later to release the update. In that case, you'd better be patient.
