Now the Moderates are sharply critical of the government's priorities, calling it “provocative” to invest in additional funding when what is needed is to stop crime.

Ulf Kristersson calls it provocative to even talk about a so-called family week after the many fatal shootings that took place in Sweden this summer.
– It is almost provocative to start discussing family week when we should do everything to strengthen the judiciary, says Ulf Kristersson to SVT's “Aktuellt”.
In a debate with Minister of Finance Magdalena Andersson (S) he said:
– There are more people today who are more concerned about security than about leave. I think that is a fundamental misjudgment – that does not solve Sweden's problem.
Magdalena Andersson gave back a boot to the M-leader.
– If it were so that we did not invested heavily in the police, I would understand that criticism. The truth is that we have invested twice as much in the police over the past eight years compared to when the coalition government ruled for eight years. Next year, the police will receive more money than they have actually requested.
The business community is also totally sawing the government's proposal, and believes that the weekend- and holiday-dense Sweden hardly needs reforms that make us work less.
– Children have ten weeks of summer vacation. Why not shorten the summer holidays by three weeks? We see how Sweden lags behind other countries with the school, says Günther Mårder, CEO of Företagarna.
