IKEA Sjämärke charger
You could already build the IKEA Nordmarke charger into your table, but this Sjämärke charger is actually just a bit nicer. You don't have to destroy the table for that, because you stick it on the bottom. The solution is not completely new, because we wrote about the Funxim charger before. Zens also has a charger with a hidden cable, but for that you still have to drill a hole in the table. IKEA Sjömärke is a lot more elegant then. It costs $40.
The Sjömärke has not yet been officially announced, but it has already appeared on the furniture giant's website and there is also a Dutch explainer video and an introduction date of mid-October is mentioned for the Netherlands.
Invisible charging
The mat with item number 805.127.18 measures 18 x 7.5 cm and comes with stickers to mark the right spot so you know where to put your iPhone. You also get double-sided tape with it. Optionally, you can fasten the thing to the underside of the table with screws, but then you have to provide the mounting material yourself.
As long as the table is not too thick (maximum 22mm) and is made of the right material (no metal), it should manage to charge your iPhone with it. You can hide the more than 1.5 meter long cable under the table.
This Qi charger charges at 5 Watt, regardless of what brand of smartphone you have. Faster charging at 7.5 Watt (and at even higher power for other brands) is therefore not possible, but that is not the approach of this charger. It will be released in the US in October for the aforementioned price of $40. It is not yet known whether an early release in Europe is also planned. But the fact that there is already a Dutch support page raises high expectations.
