Deferral for Find My AirPods

Apple has updated the iOS 15 features page to clarify that Find My AirPods support isn't coming yet. It was planned for the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. Apple hasn't given a reason for the delay, but it's certainly not the only feature you'll have to wait longer for. For example, Universal Control, SharePlay and hiding your email address will not be finished when the first official update of iOS 15 rolls in tonight around 7 p.m. We have a more extensive overview of all deferred functions in iOS 15. In addition, there are various functions that may later come to the Netherlands and Belgium. such as adding ID cards and driver's licenses in the Wallet app.

Find AirPods with your iPhone

It's a nice, handy improvement: if you lose your AirPods Pro or AirPods Max, you can find it on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. In addition, other people will help with the search: if they walk past your lost AirPods with an iPhone or other Apple device, the location will be passed on anonymously to the Find My network. That way you know where to look. Once you're close enough, you can connect to Bluetooth and play a sound for a more accurate search.

Also Find My For Wallet
Apple also recently added a Find My feature to the Apple Wallet case, but does it in a different way. Instead of putting a chip in the Wallet, the iPhone registers its location as soon as the Wallet detaches from the device. You can then look up the last known location to retrieve your cards.

You can now purchase the Wallet in five new colors. They cost 65 euros each:

  • Golden brown
  • Dark cherry
  • Sequoia green
  • Midnight
  • < li>Blue Rain

iOS 15 will be released later tonight, after three months of beta testing. Do you need to update to iOS 15 right away? That depends on your personal circumstances, including whether you need very specific apps that have not yet been adapted for iOS 15. Think of apps to use hours or schedules. You should also be more careful if you have an older device like the iPhone 6s, because the iOS 15 update has been tried by fewer developers and beta testers on it.
