Xpeng has officially launched in China its new P5 electric sedan, a model interesting because & eacute; has many advanced technological solutions, especially in terms of assisted driving. A car to look at carefully because it & eacute; will arrive also in Europe . The Chinese manufacturer, in fact, has an ambitious expansion plan in the Old Continent. In 2020 & egrave; already landed in Norway with his G3 model and recently, also in this country, has opened orders for the battery-powered flagship P7.

LOTS OF TECHNOLOGY 
Xpeng P5 measures 4,808 mm long x 1,840 mm wide x 1,520 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,768 mm. The trunk can & ograve; rely on a capacity; of 450 liters. The Chinese manufacturer has carefully developed aerodynamics to improve the efficiency of the car, while maintaining a “ traditional '' design. The fruit of this work is; a CX of 0.223. The interiors are minimal but neat and & egrave; possible to have so much technology.
The instrumentation is; digital and features a 12.3-inch display. Connected infotainment, on the other hand, can count on a 15.6-inch vertical touch screen. The platform is the new Xmart OS 3.0 that Xpeng developed directly. As in all vehicles of the Chinese brand, the P5 also supports OTA updates and has a voice assistant that can & ograve; interact with the driver and can & ograve; respond to various commands such as managing the air conditioning and opening/closing the windows.
The interiors are also reconfigurable and can be transformed, for example, into a “ small cinema '' in which to see a film that will be; projected on a roll-up screen. And for the sound, the car can rely on the XPeng Advanced Surround Sound System 8-speaker system.
One of the most important aspects interesting of the P5 & egrave; its advanced assisted driving system XPILOT 3.5 available on the top of the range versions. It uses 32 sensors including two LiDAR . The electric motor delivers 155 kW with 310 Nm of torque and allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. Three battery packs offered: 55.9 kWh, 66.2 kWh and 71.4 kWh. The autonomy varies from 460 to 600 km according to the imprecise NEDC cycle . Overall, the P5 will be & agrave; offered in China in 6 variants.
Starting prices range from 157.900 RMB to 223.900 RMB, that is; from around 20,800 euros to 29,500 euros. It will be interesting to discover the specifics of the European model. Surely Xpeng will have to change a little something to adapt your car to the needs of European customers and the homologation laws of the Old Continent.
