With the introduction of the new iPhones, Apple is turning the current iPhone line-up for the coming year upside down to make way for the new models. If you're not interested in the iPhone 13 or iPhone 13 Pro, the arrival of the new models still means good news. Apple invariably lowers the iPhone prices of previous generations, including this year. Both the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 11 are now a lot cheaper than before. Price reduction: previous generations iPhones are getting cheaper
We sometimes get questions at the editors whether it is smart to buy a new iPhone in the summer. The answer is always the same: rather wait for the new iPhones to be unveiled, even if you don't plan to buy one of those models. You are often cheaper with the previous generations, even the iPhone that Apple announced less than a year ago. Other retailers usually drop along with the price as well.
From September 15, 2021, Apple will use these new suggested retail prices for the previous generation of iPhones:
- iPhone 12: from €809,- (was €909,-)< /li>
- iPhone 12 mini: from €689,- (was €809,-)
- iPhone 11: from €589,- (was €689,-)
A number of models have also been removed from the range, namely the iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone XR. You can still find these at other stores, possibly also for an extra favorable price.
