Starting today, September 15th, the cashback service of the motorway toll which allows the partial or full refund of the toll for the time lost due to the presence of construction sites on the network managed by ASPI (Autostrade per l & # 39; Italia). After a test period with a sample of users, the service is open today to everyone even if on an experimental basis until 31/12/2021, regardless of the vehicle class and the means of payment used.
However, ASPI underlines that the service will be offered to consortia and their associates; made accessible at a later stage, thanks to a dedicated accession process that will allow; to retroactively recover the reimbursements relating to the itineraries traveled from September 15th.
HOW IT WORKS
The cashback service of the motorway toll is; accessible through the Free To X application already; available for both iOS and Android devices. Application that will serve; as well as to know in real time the state of traffic on the motorways. To make the request & egrave; first you need to register in the app to create your own account .
Users will be able to obtain a refund both for payments via Telepass and for those with credit, debit, Viacard and cash cards. Those who use the Telepass, will be able to enter the references relating to your device to automatically receive notification of the right to reimbursement , limiting yourself to confirming the itinerary. All those who use other payment methods, to request a refund, must send the photo, via the app, of the payment receipt collected at the exit toll booth (the notification of acceptance should arrive in 24-48 hours).
Throughout the testing phase, reimbursements will be accumulated, for all types of payment, in the & ldquo; purse & rdquo; and the credits will be issued starting from January 2022 , for transits made from September 15th, to your current account, by bank transfer or directly on the invoice in the case of users with Telepass.
< p>But when are you really entitled to a refund? ASPI explains that it will be possible to have only for travel times higher than the reference standards calculated on speed; 100 km/h for light vehicles and 70 km/h for heavy vehicles. The cashback will be; provided exclusively in the event of delays generated by construction sites for works on the Autostrade per l & rsquo; Italy network that affect the regularity; of transits due to the reduction of the lanes originally available.
