Mac users can update it again, whether you're running the latest version or still have the previous macOS version on your Mac. Updates have been released for both macOS Big Sur and macOS Catalina. Security improvements have been made in both releases, with macOS Big Sur 11.6 leading the way.

macOS Big Sur 11.6 available

Apple has been making rapid updates to macOS Big Sur over the past year released. After macOS Big Sur 11.5.2 last August, it's now the turn of macOS Big Sur 11.6. As in the previous versions, it is about enhanced security. The update is therefore recommended for all users. And for those who don't have a compatible Mac for macOS Big Sur, an additional security update 2021-005 for macOS Catalina is also available.
