Fria Tider reported earlier this week that the war hero Jan Kjellberg died at the age of 97.

Kjellberg came to the front as an 18-year-old to fight for Finland's freedom and independence from the Communists.

He was part of the Swedish Volunteer Company, which fought during the Finnish Continuation War (1942–1944) on the Svir Front and later took part in the Battle of Tali-Ihantala on the Karelian Peninsula in 1944.

The news of Jan Kjellberg's death has also reached the Swedish left.

“Hitler's last Swedish soldier in Finnish uniform is dead”, writes journalist and DN veteran Henrik Arnstad on Twitter.

Henrik Arnstad has received harsh criticism from other users on the platform. He has responded by blocking the critics.

Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) has previously referred to Henrik Arnstad, who wrote books on “fascism”, in support of his claim that SD belongs to this ideology.

– The journalist and historian Henrik Arnstad has a different opinion. He wrote a book about that two years ago, Löfven said in SVT's “Agenda”.
