The fact that AMD will apply the new 3D V-Cache technology to more than Ryzen has already been officially confirmed. Milan-X could be the next adaptation, four names that have surfaced let the rumor mill boil up, which is promising a model with 16, 24, 32 and 64 cores each.

More as the matching OPNs do not yet exist, the rest are conjectures. It is not yet known whether AMD will ultimately equip all eight CPU dies with an additional cache. The cache is always 64 MB in size and is planted exactly on top of the previous L3 cache, as AMD made clear again for Hot Chips 33. Theoretical maximum would probably be an additional 512 MByte L3 cache at the beginning, which would be added to the maximum 256 MByte “internal” L3 cache.
