Sykrim is ten years old, but interest continues unabated. A birthday edition with community content is the proof. The Anniversary Edition announced for the tenth birthday of the game bundles the already five-year-old special edition (test) of the evergreen with mods from Bethesda's mod shop Creation Club.

The new version sells Bethesda as a tribute to those who have helped Skyrim to a long life: the gigantic modding community who like the game with graphical improvements, small and large new items, quests and stories, convenience extras or even entire total conversions accompanies the successful Mammut Enderal (test) project. Only their work allows a game like Half-Life back then to remain graphically enjoyable for decades and at the same time to present new and returning players alike again and again according to their individual taste.

Bethesda has been supporting this work since 2017 with the Creation Club, through which modders can submit designs and receive money for their work from the publisher, who in turn monitors quality and compatibility, but also creates mods itself. The content then sold to players for a premium currency, including equipment such as weapons and armor, but also opponents and quests, will be bundled in the Anniversary Edition. The Skyrim Anniversary Edition should contain more than 500 additions from the Creation Club. There is currently no list.

From November for all platforms

The new version is available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 as well as Xbox One (X) and Series X | S punctually for the tenth birthday of the game on November 11, 2021. At the same time, the Special Edition will receive a next-gen update.

Owners of the revised Sykrim version can switch to the new version at an as yet unknown price with an upgrade option. As appetizers, you will receive three Creation Club mods for free. This is a mod that adds fishing to the game, a survival mode and new quests.
