Apple is looking for new ways to improve Siri

About two years ago, Apple was discredited because recordings via Siri were listened to by external employees. Apple went deep into the dust and stopped listening in via Siri via remote employees. You can now indicate whether some recordings may be shared. In order to further improve the Siri Assistant, Apple is now looking for other ways to achieve this. That is why Apple has started a so-called Siri Speech Study, with a special app.

Siri Speech Study: this is how Apple wants to improve Siri

TechCrunch tracked down the Siri Speech Study app. The app was released on August 9 and was updated on August 18. The app only works in the US, Canada, Germany, France, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico New Zealand and Taiwan and is by invitation only. Apple says the app is being used to further improve Siri.

The app allows participating users to provide feedback on their Siri requests. Other errors can also be passed on via the app. Think, for example, of wrongly picking up the Hé Siri command or misunderstanding a question. In the app, participants see which requests have been made, so that you can easily give feedback. Apple says that no personal data is collected, other than the data that participants send to Apple themselves.

The new Siri Speech Study app is therefore only available in certain countries, but does not appear on the charts or in the search results. The app is therefore somewhat hidden, although this is the first time that Apple has conducted such a public inquiry to some extent. It is not clear how you got such an invitation for this research. We also don't know if Apple has any plans to expand this to the Dutch Siri.

Note: Downloading is only possible with an American account. You can only use the app if you are invited.
