Afghanistan's president has fled the country – arouses disgust

Abroad. While the Taliban are now taking over Afghanistan's capital, there are reports that the country's president, Ashraf Ghani, has fled the country. It reports AP.

Two officials tell the AP that the president has confirmed that Ashraf Ghani has flown out of the country.

This was then confirmed in a video by Abdullah Abdullah, who heads the country's negotiating authority.

– The former president has left Afghanistan and is leaving the country in a difficult situation. May Allah hold him accountable, said Abdullah.

Ashraf Ghani has been one of the top figures in the US puppet regime that has ruled Afghanistan during the war. He became Minister of Finance in 2002 and has been President since 2014.
