Damir Ali Ali is now receiving 840,000 in damages for being convicted of the crimes despite being a child, reports TT.

One woman was kidnapped by the brothers and raped while being strangled.
A few weeks later, the brothers attacked a new woman, whom they kidnapped and took to a basement where they tortured and raped her under gun threat.
The younger of the two Arab brothers was sentenced in the Court of Appeal for, among other things, kidnapping, aggravated rape, theft, extortion, illegal use and illegal driving to 4.5 years in prison. The older brother was sentenced to seven years in prison.
The younger Arab then applied for rescission because he claimed he was under 18 when the crimes were committed. The issue had already been tried by the Court of Appeal with the same evidence, but the Supreme Court still granted a ruling and in February 2020 concluded that the man was not over 18 at the time of the crime.
The man therefore receives SEK 840,000 from taxpayers because he according to JK's decision on damages has received an excessively “severe punishment for his age”. More specifically, JK believes that the man has been behind bars for 14 months too long.
That the man actually committed the bestial kidnapping and torture rapes is irrelevant.
