Morgan Johansson recently explained that it would be impossible – as the Moderates and the Green Party demand – to let local workers who assisted Swedish forces in Afghanistan come to Sweden.
“It would be thousands , yes maybe 10,000 people “, the minister wrote to SVT Nyheter.
But now Johansson seems to have changed his mind after the pressure from M. He states that” they are looking at “how to proceed with the issue.
However, this does not mean that the government has swung, the S-minister claims.
– What we have said is that the government can not decide who will be allowed to come here. Because then we would be breaking the form of government. On the other hand, the authorities, the Swedish Migration Agency and the Armed Forces can jointly handle this issue, and that is also the way it happens, Morgan Johansson tells SVT.
