Domestic. Bar as young as 8 and 9 years now make a criminal career by starting to smuggle weapons and drugs into criminal networks, according to police.

– We see that already at the age of eight, many people leave the normative plan with school and work and take on a criminal identity, says Christoffer Bohman, local area police chief in Sollentuna in northern Stockholm, to SVT Nyheter.
He states that the local police area is currently mapping a nine-year-old who is suspected of dealing drugs and going on cases to a criminal network.
– We have perpetrators who are under 18 and it is terrible. But then we have younger children who we suspect store weapons or transport them for the older ones, says Christoffer Bohman to SVT.
What the current nine-year-old does more specifically is not clear.
– Exactly what role this child has, we do not really know, but we are worried that there is a handling, that you store drugs or do other types of tasks to criminal seniors, says Christoffer Bohman to SVT.
Bohman explains that the “older” in the gangs are not very old either – but around 16-17 years.
