The DRM-free game distribution platform GOG is currently giving away the two popular role-playing classics Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss and Ultima Underworld 2: Labyrinth of Worlds, which were released in March 1992, respectively saw the light of day on the PC in January 1993 under MS-DOS.
Two classic role-playing games for free
Ultima Underworld 1 + 2 * are offered free of charge in a bundle on the corresponding product page and only require registration and installation of the GOG game client to be used as usual. The two classic role-playing games were developed by Blue Sky Productions, which later traded under the company name Looking Glass Technologies and is still active today under the name Looking Glass Studios.
With the strategic sci-fi action game Syndicate Wars * from 1996 and the Syndicate Plus * released in 1993, GOG also has two more free classics on offer. All games run on Windows (7, 8, 10) and macOS (from 10.6.8).
