Arrival & egrave; a company & agrave; English specialist in electric vehicles in which several major companies have believed. For example, UPS in the past decided to invest in this company by ordering 10,000 electric vans. More recently had come the news of an agreement with Uber that saw Arrival committed to building an electric car for drivers by 2023, dedicated to ride-hailing services. In parallel, this company & agrave; he is also working on developing his own autonomous driving system called Automated Driving System (ADS).

The goal, of course, is; to offer its electric vans (and not only) the possibility; to drive alone to make the transport operations more & ugrave; safe. From this point of view, the company & agrave; announced that it had taken an important step forward. In fact, he reported that he successfully ran a test in which his electric van has carried out without anyone driving all the operations that a driver of a commercial fleet should carry out inside a logistics center. This proof is; was conducted inside the structure and not on roads open to traffic.

This autonomous driving technology is; was developed by Arrival as part of a project called Robopilot , whose objective is improve knowledge of the market, functionality; and the public perception of autonomous driving systems. This project & egrave; partly funded by Innovate UK and the Center for Connected Autonomous Vehicles (CCAV).

After the successful completion of the tests in a controlled environment, the company & agrave; English intends to test its features; autonomous driving on UK roads. The ultimate goal is to provide the technology to all of its electric vans. Arrival plans to use this project to develop a scalable automated driving system based on computer vision. Max Kumskoy , Arrival's Head of Advanced Driver Assistance and Automated Driving Systems, commented:

In Arrival, we are building technologies that will help drivers. The deposit maneuvers are the most important parts; subject to worker shift accidents and with our technology we hope to introduce greater safety by removing human driving errors that occur in confined environments. We are starting with a controlled environment, where we are truly capable of testing and validating our technology. We can therefore understand how it will work; on public roads, in our vehicles and as it can; be implemented worldwide.
