The US and other foreign troops are withdrawing from Afghanistan and it looks like the Taliban are taking over the country again.

In July, the Swedish Migration Board decided to stop all deportations to Afghanistan.

Now the agency's director general Mikael Ribbenvik believes that more and more Afghans will go to Sweden.

– It is clear that the worse it gets in a country, the more the flight increases. And then there are many who would like to go to Europe, Ribbenvik tells Dagens Nyheter.

He also wonders if the many Afghan Afghans who went to France will return to Sweden again now that the deportations have been stopped .

The Swedish Migration Agency's forecasts are uncertain because the coronary restrictions have not been eased in the way that was thought.
