Galaxy Unpacked: Fold 3, Flip 3, Watch 4, and Buds 2 pricing leaked

On August 11th, as part of an unpacked event, Samsung will present the foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3, the smartwatches Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic as well as the in- Introducing Galaxy Buds 2 earphones. The prices in euros for all five new releases have now been leaked in advance.

Dozens of leaks in the form of images and initial technical data have so far been available for Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. next week scheduled unpacked event accompanied. What was still missing, however, were the prices, which Evan Blass is now delivering via Twitter.

Galaxy Z Fold 3 starts at 1,899 euros

For the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 (test), the Galaxy Z Fold 3, Samsung has set a price of 1,899 euros. That would be 50 euros less than last year for the predecessor with 256 GB of storage. For the version with 512 GB, Samsung is calling for 1,999 euros this year. Overall, the price of the foldable smartphone remains stable, although better features can be expected.

IP68 also for foldable smartphones

So far leaked features are the Snapdragon 888, an outer display with 120 Hz, an under-display camera for the inner display and a new triple camera with three times 12 megapixels. This year, the folding smartphone will also come up with an IP68 certification against dust and water for the first time.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is much cheaper

The Galaxy Z Flip 3, designed like previous folding phones, which is to inherit the Galaxy Z Flip (test) and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G introduced shortly afterwards, starts at 1,099 euros, according to Blass, which is a significant price reduction compared to the 1st generation which cost around 1,500 euros. Samsung already offered the later Galaxy Z Flip with 5G support at a lower price of 1,300 euros. With the Galaxy Z Flip, however, the base model already had 256 GB built in, now there is only 128 GB as standard and the larger version costs 1,149 euros.

Larger displays for the Galaxy Z Flip 3

For the Galaxy Z Flip 3, a larger outer display, also IP68, the Snapdragon 888, 120 instead of 60 Hz on the inside screen, a larger inner display with 6.7 inches in the now higher 25: 9 format and new colors expected.

Galaxy Watch 4 receives new operating system

With the Exynos W920, the new Galaxy Watch 4 is to receive a new smartwatch SoC developed and manufactured in-house and will be the first smartwatch that will run with Wear OS 3 from the new partnership with Google instead of its own Tizen. With One UI Watch, Samsung has already presented its own user interface for Wear OS 3 and some of its functions. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic only differs in terms of design and size and stands out from the smaller model primarily through the rotating bezel.

Small smartwatch for 279 euros

The Galaxy Watch 4 is to come on the market with a 40 mm case for 279 euros and in 44 mm for 309 euros. The Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, which is always slightly larger, costs 379 euros in 42 mm and 409 euros in 46 mm.

Galaxy Buds 2 cost 159 euros

The latest new releases are the Galaxy Buds 2 for 159 euros. The new true wireless in-ear headphones inherit the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds + (test) as well as probably the not yet continued Galaxy Buds Live (test) in bean form, which were less well received on the market. Above the Galaxy Buds 2, Samsung is likely to keep the Galaxy Buds Pro (test) with ANC in its range for 229 euros.
