Will the Renault Zoe leave? the seat at the R5

The Renault Zoe & egrave; a very successful electric model. Several years after its debut it continues to be highly appreciated thanks also to a series of improvements, especially in terms of the battery and therefore of autonomy. Despite a decline in sales due to increased competition, in June 2021 the small electric French is was the second largest BEV; sold in Europe. The fate of this model seems, however, to be sealed. Presenting the economic results of the first half of the year, the CEO Luca de Meo underlined that the Zoe & quot; will disappear & agrave; & quot; at the end of 2024.

The news is no longer surprising; from time to time. The French carmaker for the B segment punter & agrave; on a new platform and precisely on the CMF-BEV on which the R5 and the & quot; 4ever & quot; (electric Renault 4) will be born. The first will come; between 2023 and 2024 and the second in 2025. It is therefore clear that there is no longer; space for the Zoe who will leave; the place to the R5 given the current calendar of the launch of new products of the French brand.

The upcoming electric B-segment models will, however, have names reminiscent of famous vehicles of the past, and Renault hopes that this choice will help bring these cars to success. Meanwhile, Renault will launch; the new Megane E-Tech Electric , a very important battery model that we will see for the first time in its final form at the Munich Motor Show in September. It will be completely different than the current endothermic Megane as it will have; of crossover shapes , in line with the market trend.
