Domestic. On the night of Sunday, August 1, a young woman was raped in a car in southern Stockholm. A man in his 25s has now been arrested on suspicion of the crime after an intensive investigation.

The woman had visited a restaurant on Södermalm before the incident. Nothing in the investigation so far indicates that she knew the man before, according to the police.
When the crime came to the attention of the police early on Sunday morning, large resources were immediately deployed to find the suspected perpetrator.
The man who is now arrested on suspicion of aggravated rape is in his 25s. He was arrested on Sunday afternoon in Sätra center.
