iCulture App of the Month: Albert Heijn Albert Heijn recently has a feature that many have been waiting for for a long time: digital receipts! When you pay with your personal bonus card, the voucher is automatically linked to your account. In the Albert Heijn app you can find the voucher via the figure at the top right. You will now find a receipt option in the menu.

The receipt looks exactly the same as a regular receipt. So you also see all the details about your transaction. In the future, Albert Heijn also wants to add a barcode to open the self-scan gates. Will that really be the end of the paper receipt? The digital receipt will be stored in your account for 27 months. You can also export them as a PDF file. Handy for declarations!

Complication Lab

This app, created by the Belgian Olivier Overstraete, gives you the possibility to create many kinds of complications for your Apple Watch. This gives you more control over what you see on your watch face. The idea is simple: choose from one of the possible complications types and choose which data you want to put in it. The app ensures that it is displayed correctly.

With the complications you have even more options. This way you can set the colors yourself and adjust the icons. This gives you the opportunity to put together your entire watch face your way.

Polarsteps

Travelers beware! The Dutch Polarsteps has a nice new feature: Polarsteps Guides. These are travel guides that you can use as inspiration for your own trips. The guides have been compiled by the Polarsteps team, with the help of Polarsteps travelers. You will find insider tips and interesting locations. There are currently 60 guides for the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium. This will gradually be expanded.

PhotoMeister

With PhotoMeister you can play slideshows on any Smart TV from your iPhone. You don't need any additional hardware for this, such as an Apple TV. The developer says it works with any brand. Before you show your pictures, you can put together a presentation and add music in the app. PhotoMeister can also be useful if you're visiting friends or family and don't have an Apple TV at your disposal.

Vibe

On dating apps like Tinder, we all know the familiar ‘swiping’ to approve another person. Dating app Vibe is trying to put an end to that. You fill in your interests and preferences on your profile and try to link yourself to the right one. If you both find each other interesting, Vibe will present a location for a date. You just have to agree. With Vibe you have less freedom of choice, but that can also make dating a bit easier and more carefree.
