Abroad. German cyclists' Olympic coach Patrick Moster is allowed to return home from Japan after being accused of so-called racism. The German Olympic Sports Federation DOSB states that he has “violated the Olympic values” by shouting about “camel-eaters”.

It was in connection with an Olympic race on Wednesday that Patrick Moster was heard shouting “Take the camel shackles now!” to the German cyclist Nikias Arndt.
Arndt was then behind two other cyclists from Algeria and Eritrea respectively.
The event was broadcast live on television and Patrick Moster has apologized “infinitely” for The German Olympic Sports Federation DOSB announced on Thursday that Moster has resigned and that he will return to Germany.
– We are still convinced that his public apology for the racist comments he made yesterday is sincere. But with this derailment, Aunt broke the Olympic values. Fair play, respect and tolerance are not negotiable, says DOSB's chairman Alfons Hörmann in a press release.
