Paying for Apple TV+?

Apple TV+ is Apple's streaming TV service, where you mainly find own productions. The service therefore had to start at a disadvantage compared to Disney+ and Netflix, which can already fill their catalog considerably with existing material. That's why you got the first months for free when you buy a new Apple product. The trial period was subsequently extended several times. It is still possible to watch Apple TV+ for free for a while when purchasing a new product, but for many people it really ended in July: you have to start paying from now on. We are curious how many people do that.

The free year of Apple TV+ would expire at the end of October 2020 for the first group of users. But luckily you could watch longer for free. Initially it was extended to February 2021 and then an extension to July 2021 followed, without having to pay. At the beginning of this year, it turned out that 62 percent of the viewers were in the trial period, so there is also a large group of people who just pay. But does that also apply to the price-conscious Dutch and Belgians?

You can let us know in our poll! We are curious.

You can now watch Apple TV+ on almost every device you have at home, from smart TV to game console and of course also on your Mac, iPad and iPhone. Only on the Apple Watch you get it wrong. And with shows like The Morning Show and Ted Lasso, Apple has had some successes. But is that enough to persuade you to pay $4.99 a month? For that price, you can watch with a family of 6 people.
