Domestic. On Thursday last week, the police arrested a man suspected of an attempted rape in Sundbyberg and a rape in central Stockholm, both of which took place two days earlier. The man is now in custody, according to police.

On Tuesday 20 July, a woman was assaulted at a garbage room in Sundbyberg by a man who wrestled down and abused her. The woman was able to break free and witnesses had time to take pictures of the perpetrator.
Later that evening, a woman was assaulted and raped in central Stockholm by a man with the same information.
In the hunt for the perpetrator Intervention police showed pictures of the suspect to traders in the local area and asked them to keep an eye out.
On Thursday 22 July, guards arrested a man for petty theft at a grocery store in Sundbyberg. Store staff thought the man looked like the person in the police photos and called 112. When the police arrived at the scene, the man was also arrested for the rape cases.
The man is now in custody on suspicion of attempted rape and rape.
