McLaren wanted to amaze once again and unveiled its biggest convertible; powerful ever. It's called McLaren 765LT Spider and it will be; produced in limited series. The British brand, in fact, has made it known that only 765 will be built . The price is; obviously within the reach of few but perfectly reflects the exclusivity & agrave; of this model. For the Italian market we are talking about 378,500 euros , VAT included.

GREAT EMOTIONS 
This new supercar & egrave; basically the convertible version of the 765LT & quot; Longtail & quot; coup & eacute; presented last year. The use of the term 'Longtail' which means & quot; long tail & quot;, identifies a key feature of the coup & eacute; that we also find in the spider and this is; the presence of an elongated tail for aerodynamic reasons. To design the new model, McLaren drew on its experience in the world of motorsport to minimize weight , optimize aerodynamics and maximize performance on the track.
Compared to the coup & eacute; c & # 39; & egrave; was a weight increase of just 49 kg, mainly due to the retractable roof and its operating mechanism. However, the 765LT Spider weighs only 1,388 kg, which is 80 kg less than the 720S Spider. Returning to the roof that is; made of carbon fiber, the English manufacturer says it can & ograve; be opened in 11 seconds up to a speed; of 50 km/h. Carbon fiber which is was also used for many aerodynamic appendages of the supercar and for the MonoCage II-S chassis.
Around the chassis, McLaren has created a car with aerodynamics studied in details.
Like every LT, the new Spider & egrave; designed to excel on the track, however the strong sensations offered with the possibility; driving in the open also makes it an even more car. engaging and thrilling to drive on the road. & Egrave; the same evolved aerodynamic package of the coup & eacute; has been adopted, albeit with an active calibration of the rear wing revised to adapt the flows when the roof is; raised or lowered and a new calibration of the shock absorbers to take into account the slight weight increase – the Spider matches the exceptional aerodynamic performance of the coup & eacute; in every respect, with class-leading downforce 25% higher than that of a 720S Spider.
The beating heart of the new supercar is; a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 capable of delivering 765 hp (563 kW) with 800 Nm of torque. The traction is; rear and the gearbox & egrave; a 7-speed double clutch. The performance, consequently, is very high. It takes just 2.8 seconds to go from 0 to 100 km/h. The 200 km/h, on the other hand, can be reached in just 7.2 seconds. The speed maximum reaches 330 km/h .
