The four students at the Oslo Academy of the Arts (KHiO) – Iris April Andresen, Magnus Vanebo, Andrea Veiden and Vebjørn Pedersen – have experienced outrage from so-called anti-racists for a year.

< When their exhibition "How Shameful" was inaugurated at Galleri Kladden earlier in July, they received police protection. Prior to the inauguration, the left-wing extremist group Blitz had hung out the four students on signs and pointed them out as "racist artists".

But thanks to the left-wing extremists, the exhibition received a lot of attention, and people stood in line to visit the mall, writes Document.no.

– You swing with words like that you “fight for diversity, tolerance and justice” , but they are not willing to treat their opponents any of what they claim to be for, says art student Magnus Vanebo to Nettavisen.

– Today it is enough to say no to them to be branded a racist , says colleague Vebjørn Pedersen.

Andresen, Vanebo, Veiden and Pedersen were some of the few people at KHiO who spoke out when 137 students after the BLM riots last year signed a left-wing extremist call to fight “whiteness”.

The left-wing extremists received immediate support from The management of the Academy of Fine Arts, and Rector Måns Wrange went out in Aftenposten and stated that “the whole of Norwegian society is permeated by structural racism, including KHiO and most other institutions in the art and culture world”.

In a debate article Morgenbladet in August 2020 protested the four students against the cultural Marxist development, which provoked angry reactions. The title of their new exhibition, “How Shameful”, is just a quote from a professor at KHiO who reacted to their protest.

Now the four state that their exhibition has been a success.

< p> – It exceeded all expectations. We got both many visitors and a lot of sales. It is very cool and unexpected, says Iris April Andresen to Subjekt.

– We can probably thank Blitz for having contributed and increased the attention, she continues.
