During the giant brawl on Hjällbo square on May 28 this year, the two clans collided and a fight broke out, which led to a massive police operation.

Eleven people belonging to the two Mardelli Arab clans Simmo and Ali Khan has today been sentenced by the Gothenburg District Court for violent rioting to prison between two and four months as a result of the incident.

When the sentence is determined, the district court has taken into account whether the person himself used violence or whether he participated in the riot in a less serious way.

– We have considered that the prosecutor had good evidence. Through film from, among other things, surveillance cameras, we think that it is obvious that there was a violent riot in which the accused participated, says councilor Mats Eriksson in a statement.
