In the weekly App Missed section you can read which apps from the past week are worth checking out. We always discuss about five apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac. These could be apps that you may not have known about or that are useful or just fun to try. And that can also be veterans who have received a major update and therefore receive some extra attention.

Discussed earlier this week on iCulture:

  • Apple threatens to pull emulator app iDOS 2 from the App Store

iCulture App of the Week: Shark Tracker Are you interested in wild sharks and biology? Then this Shark Tracker might be something for you. For scientific research, OCEARCH is engaged in closely studying sharks and their movements. You can follow these movements almost live in Shark Tracker. On the map you can see where sharks are currently located. You can tap it to see more information such as gender, weight, height, and of course the name.

If you tap on a shark, there will be a short story about where the shark was first seen and chipped by researchers. Even better, you can even check out the shark's history and discover the gigantic distances they travel. Shark Tracker also has support for sea turtles. The app is completely free and contains no in-app purchases and advertising.
