Recently, spy photos of a partially disguised BMW M4 have appeared. There was talk of an even more version; extreme of the Competition called M4 CSL . The German carmaker has never wanted to give any indication but a new report mentioned by BMW Blog tells that the M4 CSL will arrive; really and that production should start in July 2022 .
According to reports, the car is expected to offer interesting specifications starting with the engine which could have a power increased to over 540 hp (397 kW). The power unit of the current Competition variant, on the other hand, delivers 510 hp (375 kW). The report also says that the sportswoman will be & agrave; proposed with rear-wheel drive only . In addition, it should be equipped with an automatic gearbox. As mentioned at the beginning, production is expected to start in July 2022, just in time to celebrate the 50 & deg; anniversary of BMW's M division.
In the past there was talk that the car could be offered in a limited series. Speaking for a moment of the design, from the spy photos no significant changes had appeared except for some retouching to the aerodynamic kit including a larger front splitter; large and larger side skirts.
