Blue Origin New Shepard: Jeff Bezos' first private space flight in live stream


Today at 1:30 p.m. Central European time, the private space company of former Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, Blue Origin, is streaming the first manned space flight of the New Shepard launcher live on YouTube. In addition to the former Amazon CEO and his brother Mark, several space tourists will also be on board.

The wealthy guests above the Kármán Line at a height of around 100 kilometers will be offered a total of four Minutes of space for several million US dollars and the privilege of being able to experience the maiden flight together with Jeff Bezos. The tickets were last officially traded for around 3.5 million US dollars.

In addition to the brothers Jeff and Mark Bezos, the only 18-year-old Dutchman Oliver Daemen, son of the Dutch investment banker Joes Daemen , and the 82-year-old former US pilot Wally Funk go on a journey into space. The stream will be broadcast live from 1:30 p.m. on YouTube and the website.
