tvOS 14.7 Available
Now that Apple is fully working on the beta of tvOS 15, tvOS 14.7 is probably one of the latest updates from tvOS 14. In tvOS 14.7 you don't have to new features to expect: Apple is saving the few new features coming this year for the next major update. Today's update is therefore mainly about bug fixes.
However, it is still unclear what those bug fixes are. Apple doesn't provide exact release notes for tvOS updates, so it's often a matter of guessing what's new or improved. Apple may have made some improvements for the new Apple TV 4K 2021, which has been available for a month. We'll update this article should more become known.
In the meantime, you can read which features in tvOS 15 are coming to the Apple TV when the update is available later this year.
Download tvOS 14.7
tvOS 14.6 is only available on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. Not sure which Apple TV you have? Check out our article with all Apple TV models. It tells you exactly how to identify the models.
To download tvOS 14.7:
- On the Apple TV, go to the Settings app.
- Choose System, at the very bottom.
- Select Software Update and check if the new update can be installed.
- The update will be downloaded and the Apple TV will restart when the installation is complete.
