Going down on his knees is a gesture used by athletes who want to show their support for left-wing extremist Black lives matter .
Hedvig Lindahl explains that it is always important to take a stand for “human rights” and “all forms of injustice”.
The message comes after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) eased its previous ban on political demonstrations during the Olympics. Now it applies instead that political protests may take place, for example, before a match, but not on the podium.
The Swedish men's national team did not go down on their knees for BLM during the European Football Championship.
