Kulturnyheter. The Danish cartoonist Kurt Westergaard, known for his Muhammad cartoons, has died, Berlingske reports.

Kurt Westergaard is best known for drawing one of the twelve Muhammad drawings that Jyllandsposten published in the autumn of 2005.
The picture depicts the Muslim Muhammad with a bomb in his turban and the publication gave rise to to a storm in the Muslim world. Several Muslims have later been convicted on various occasions of attempting to murder Westergaard.
Kurt Westergaard died after a long illness. He turned 86 years old.
