The debate about so-called racism has been hot in the UK in recent weeks. In connection with the European Football Championship, the English football team was repeatedly booed by the home crowd while kneeling for left-wing extremist Black lives matter.

After the lost European Championship final against Italy, the British authorities accuse the citizens of having reacted racistly to that three African players were selected as penalties and missed.

GB News, a conservative TV channel, was launched as late as June this year but has now run into difficulties.

According to The left-wing newspaper The Guardian has GB News shut down its host Guto Harri after he fell to his knees in front of an African woman on the broadcast – something that provoked harsh criticism from viewers. A boycott was started and the number of viewers was reduced to zero on some programs.

In a statement, the channel states that it is “unacceptable” for employees to perform the kneeling gesture, which is linked to the BLM movement, writes BBC News.

However, the incident has created an internal conflict and at least one leading representative has left GB News in protest, writes The Guardian.
