Porsche & egrave; on track to double the total sales of its electric Taycan in 2021 . The German automaker presented global sales figures for its models for the first 6 months of the year. Inside the press release you can & ograve; read that the brand has delivered 19,822 units & agrave; of its battery-powered vehicle. By way of comparison, just remember that around 20,000 Taycans were delivered in 2020.
In the first 6 months of 2021, this model has substantially already; reached last year's numbers. A remarkable result that shows that the Taycan is very popular with Porsche customers. However, these numbers were expected since at the end of the first quarter of 2021 they were already; 9,072 units were delivered electricity. Overall, the Taycan continues to stay on the heels of 911 which closed the half year with 20,611 units & agrave; delivered.
ELECTRICS LIKE 
The excellent sales trend of this car is; also a very clear indication that Porsche customers are appreciating electric models. This is an important signal in view of the arrival of the electric Macan in 2022 on which the German brand is betting a lot. For the moment, therefore, the numbers are justifying the large investments in the electric cars of the car manufacturer.
To encourage the diffusion of its electric models, Porsche has also decided to create its own fast charging network in Europe to facilitate long distance travel. The aim is to have 100 stations by 2025. Coming to the overall figures, Porsche has delivered 153,656 vehicles worldwide, an increase of 31% compared to the previous year. China still remains the main market but also those of Europe and America are growing well.
