The British authorities have stirred up a storm around ordinary Englishmen allegedly expressing themselves “racistly” on social media in connection with the European Championship final in football on Sunday.
England then lost to Italy on penalties after selecting three African players as penalties.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson was grilled by the Social Democratic opposition in parliament. On Tuesday, Boris Johnson had a meeting with representatives of Facebook, Twitter, Tiktok, Snapchat and Instagram to force the company to increased censorship.
– I made it very clear to them that we will be legislating to address this issue. And if they do not get rid of hatred and racism from their platforms, they will be fined 10 percent of their global revenue – we all know they have the technology to do so, Johnson said in Parliament.
