The MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV is almost 8 years old, but there is still new content. For the developers, there is not only an optimized version for the PlayStation 5 on the to-do list, “Endwalker” is also the fourth expansion pack. And Square Enix has provided a benchmark for this.
The Final Fantasy XIV PC benchmark: Endwalker is free and can be downloaded directly from Square Enix. You do not need to have the main game or a subscription account. 2.2 gigabytes, the download is difficult, which does not have to be installed manually, but has to be unzipped. An extensive configuration menu is then available.
The graphics options cannot simply be configured in this, most of the options contain sample screenshots, albeit very small ones. From the resolution to graphic presets to anti-aliasing, the options probably do not differ from the actual game. The benchmark itself is self-running, but a complete run takes a few minutes. The test then spits out a score and a rating like “Very High” – unfortunately there is no more direct information such as the frame rate.

You can also create your own character
If you don't just want to see a ready-made character in the benchmark, you can simply configure one yourself, as in the real game. This can then be used later in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker.
Since Final Fantasy XIV including Endwalker does not place high demands on the PC, it does not require any fast hardware. Even a DirectX 9 graphics card can reproduce the test, even if DirectX 11 hardware is recommended. The developers also mention support for the multi-GPU technologies CrossFire and SLI, which are actually no longer available these days. In 2013, when Final Fantasy XIV was released, everyone was talking about them, which is why Endwalker can handle 2 GPUs.
