Domestic. Moderate leader Ulf Kristersson is now responding to criticism from S and MP leaders after he pointed out immigration as a “burden” for Sweden. He states that it is not he but his opponent who should apologize.

“Those who should apologize are the politicians who year after year have the power to do something but let the exclusion, unemployment and crime only grow, while they vote through laws that intentionally increase immigration to Sweden” , writes Ulf Kristersson in a Facebook post.
It was in P1 Morgan's party leader hearing yesterday that the M leader stated that “immigration in Sweden has become a burden” and that this “is quite obvious”. <./p>
The comment has received harsh criticism and Kristersson has been accused of being a racist.
One of the critics is the Minister of Migration and Justice Morgan Johansson (S), who on Twitter has warned that the moderate party leader is “radicalized”.
This is so awful.
Once again, we are reminded of how important it is that Ulf Kristersson never gets the opportunity to take power together with SD and the rest of the right. https://t.co/qUIkzMvWML

The Green Party's spokesperson Märta Stenevi writes that Ulf Kristersson should apologize:
That a prime ministerial candidate calls large parts of our Swedish population for a load is something incredible. Even from a prime ministerial candidate who is unable to form a government.
Ulf Kristersson should apologize.https: //t.co/VE9ExW3elz

But no one comes from Kristersson's side. He also accuses opponents of “silencing the debate” and distorting what he said.
“Of course, I have never singled out either individual immigrants, or immigrants as a group, as a burden to our country. has for decades and centuries immigrated to Sweden and contributed economically and culturally to our society. But obvious problems must be acknowledged if you are to have any chance of solving them. Everything else is to put your head in the sand “, writes Ulf Kristersson on Facebook./p>
