“Bringing the band back together” was one of the announcements from new Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger. Now this is also happening for the client division, with Shlomit Weiss, another veteran returns to Intel after four years at Mellanox/Nvidia, who led two of the largest projects in this area with Sandy Bridge and Skylake.

As Senior Vice President and Co-General Manager of the Design Engineering Group, she will focus on the client group alongside Sunil Shenoy, who has also returned. Shlomit Weiss, known in Israel as “silicon woman”, had already been with Intel for 28 years, after a short trip to Mellanox, which was later bought by Nvidia, she is now returning to Intel. Sandy Bridge was their first major CPU project, the second and much more important, Skylake, is still consuming Intel to this day. As before, she will be working in Haifa, Israel.
