Denmark recently decided to completely abolish its asylum reception and instead send all asylum seekers to reception centers in the third world, for example in Rwanda.
The new Danish immigration policy has received harsh criticism in Sweden, but other countries are inspired by the Danish Social Democratic government.
The British Home Secretary Priti Patel announces that she will next week introduce new proposals to be able to outsource the British asylum reception as well.
Patel has also opened up to cooperate with Denmark on a common reception center in Africa, reports The Times.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is said to be enthusiastic about the plan after more than 5,000 “refugees” illegally crossed the English Channel from France so far this year.
The Social Democrats in Norway are also showing interest in sending asylum seekers to countries outside the EU.
