With the smart security camera Pro 4, Arlo is launching a new generation of the Pro series that offers faster installation with a direct WLAN connection without a SmartHub. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and has the same range of functions as the Arlo Pro 3, but without SmartHub.
With battery or magnetic charging cable
Commissioning takes place via the Arlo app using a QR code that confirms the connection. The camera is attached to the bracket magnetically so that its orientation can be easily adjusted. The built-in battery should enable a currentless runtime of 3 to 6 months, but the camera can also be permanently supplied with power via the magnetic charging cable. Optional accessories are a solar module, a longer outdoor charging cable or a double charging station for charging two batteries at the same time.
2K-HDR- Videos with color night vision
The camera sensor delivers 2K HDR video recordings (2,560 × 1,440 pixels) and covers a viewing angle of 160 degrees. The Arlo Pro 4 also has a color night view and two-way audio with noise and echo cancellation, so that users can contact visitors via the built-in speakers and can be captured during video recordings on the sound. Image sections can be enlarged twelve times with the digital zoom.

Motion detection with light and siren
The Arlo Pro 4's motion detection automatically sends a notification if requested on the smartphone connected to it. Users can then use the app to trigger the siren or, in the dark, the headlights of the camera to scare off uninvited guests. Both can be activated automatically without manual intervention.
Compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and HomeKit
The camera is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and also compatible with Apple HomeKit in conjunction with an Arlo base station, so that it can be integrated and controlled in the smart home system via the digital voice assistant.
Subscription for more options and storage
With the Arlo SMART subscription, of which a three-month trial version is included with the purchase, the security settings of the Arlo Pro 4 can be individually adjusted and controlled. For example, SMART includes AI-supported recognition functions, which means that the camera can differentiate between people, animals, vehicles and packages instead of just recognizing movements. The recordings can also be backed up to the cloud for 30 days. Local storage of recordings is not possible without an additional SmartHub with USB storage device.
