Just like virtually all other New York City agencies and corporations, the local MTA is now celebrating Pride with gay flags.

But a message in MTA's name to travelers is critical writes RT.

On rainbow-colored signs in the subway system that are presented as “service information” it is announced that “hatred and prejudice” is not “allowed” at the station.

“Reminder: Respect transgender people, or then your pronoun will be 'was' (was/were) “, it says further on the signs.

The latter has been perceived by travelers as a death threat against” transphobes “, writes RT.

It turned out, however, that it is not the official MTA that is behind the signs, but the openly homosexual advertising manager Thomas Shim. the trick worked. TransLink in Vancouver praised the threatening message.

“Fantastic sign We agree”, tweeted the Canadian government.
