The Left Party is against the proposal for market rents for new tenancies and now claims to be ready to overthrow the government Stefan Löfven if it does not take into account the party's demands.
According to Ekot, the Left Party will act in the matter of no confidence even before the summer break, if Löfven does not take into account the Left Party's demands.

To wake up a declaration of no confidence in the Riksdag requires 35 members. The Left Party has 27 members and thus needs support from another party.
