At E3, Ubisoft is showing an avatar game and the zombie release from Rainbow Six. DLCs have been announced for series such as Assassin's Creed and Watch Dogs, which have continued over the past few months. Mario + Rabbids will be released for Switch in 2022.

Avatar in an open world

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is created by Massive Entertainment on the basis of the Snowdrop engine, which produces beautiful worlds in other Ubisoft titles. The game is based on James Cameron's film and is intended to complement the Avatar universe, which gives Ubisoft the opportunity to create its own story.

The game is played as a representative of the blue-skinned Na’vi, who explores new areas of the planet Pandora. As an opponent, the RDA appears again, which also exploits the resources of Pandora here and, explains Ubisoft, has to be pushed back step by step. The genre can also be derived from these parameters: Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be another open world game from Ubisoft. The date of publication is currently 2022, the publication should take place for the PC, Amazon Luna, Google Stadia as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are left out.

Zombies for Rainbow Six

Rainbow Six Quarantine will go on sale as Rainbow Six Extraction on September 16. The renaming is intended to avoid references to the current pandemic. In Extraction, an extraterrestrial parasite turned people into monsters from the very beginning. This threat faces three specialists on 12 maps, who are recruited from 18 operators who are familiar with the series veterans from Rainbow Six: Siege.

Each operator brings their own weapons, gadgets and skills with them. Depending on the composition, different tactics are possible. Extraction will also incorporate Soulslike elements, because every assignment is linked to unspecified rewards. These should become bigger the further players progress on a map, but are lost if they fail. The team must therefore regularly decide whether they want to be evacuated and reap their rewards or whether they risk further advance.

Crossplay also comes for victories

Extraction will support crossplay and cross-platform game progress when released. The same features are also planned for Rainbow Six: Siege. Crossplay and cross-progression will be activated for Stadia, Luna and the PC from June 30th, and from the beginning of 2022 progress will also be standardized with Xbox and PlayStation. On this date, the consoles will also support crossplay, but will remain separate, PC and streaming platforms will continue to form a separate pool of players.

DLCs for Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs Legions and Far Cry 6

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will have the siege of Paris reenacted via a DLC this summer. Players can also explore rural France and purchase new equipment. In addition, historical backgrounds will come to the fore in the upcoming Discovery mode. For the first time in the series, it is not enough: Ubisoft plans to publish more DLCs in the second year after publication, which indirectly reveals that a sequel is still a bit long in coming.

The DLC “Bloodline” for Watch Dogs: Legion will be released in early July. The expansion serves as a prequel to the main game and lets Aiden Pierce from Watch Dogs 1 step back onto the stage, who serves as an alter ego. The Hacker Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 can also be played at the same time.

Far Cry 6 won't be released until October 7th, but Ubisoft has already revealed DLC plans. In addition to a copy of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which is being delivered in a remastered version, the Season Pass contains three expansions that play in the minds of Vaas, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed. Using locations from the respective series parts, they should tell how the villains became villains. There is one special feature in terms of play: whoever dies has to start over.

Mario + Rabbids for the switch

2022 Mario + Rabbids will return to the Switch. The sequel to Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle makes changes to the battle system. This time, real-time and round tactics are mixed, allowing players to move freely in a specific area during their turn. Only then does a round phase begin, in which new additional skills can be used.
