During his time as president, Donald Trump received attention in Sweden on several occasions when he commented on developments in the Scandinavian country.

– You have problems with immigration. It has created problems in Sweden, he explained to Prime Minister Stefan Löfven, for example, during a meeting in the White House in March 2018.

On Saturday, Trump again raised the issue of Sweden, this time in a video speech at an event in Wisconsin organized by the entrepreneur Mike Lindell.

The ex-president talked about the immigrant chaos that is going on in the USA now, and then quickly switched to talking about Sweden.

– I just saw a report about Sweden , which is doing very poorly when it comes to crime. Even Germany. These used to be Europe's safest countries, and now they are starting to become very insecure, Trump said.

He continued:

– One of the most insecure countries is Sweden. Do you know why? Because they let people into their country that create enormous divisions.

The report that Donald Trump is referring to is possibly the one from the Crime Prevention Council which this week showed that Sweden has gone from the bottom to the top of the list of European countries in the case of fatal shootings.
